Let the Right One In Film

Tonight a friend of mine on etsy asked me if I have ever seen this film, Let the Right One In by Swedish filmmaker Tomas Alfredson. So I checked out the trailer, I was so surprised to see such a lovely disturbing and dark atmosphere met with vampires and adolescence.

This film is based off of the novel Let the Right One In, also known as Let Me In by Swedish writer John Ajvide Lindqvist. The book focuses on the darker side of humanity dealing with issues such as bullying, drugs, theft, prostitution and murder, along with the paranormal side of life! The Swedish language film version was released in 2008 to widespread critical acclaim, and an English language remake directed by Matt Reeves is to be released in 2010.

I've added this film to my Amazon wish list, along with the 1961 film The Innocents based off of the novel Turn of the Screw by writer Henry James.

I loved this movie as well. It was sweet and dark and everything a vampire movie should be. I have yet to read the book.

the book and movie were so so good! too bad you didn't get a chance to see it in the theaters because they changed the subtitles for the DVD- they totally dumbed it down and ruined it...
