AURA

The discovery of
Fregezechen's work is so invoking to me, this image in particular reminds of me the human energy field, the aura is projecting as if it were never ending galaxies of light in the universe. It is almost takes my breath away as to imagine myself being surrounded by such reflections of our true nature.

Found a great article on Aura Colors and their meaning:

RED: lifeforce, survival, raw passion, anger, frustration, menstruation, determination, sense of importance, feeling overwhelmed by change

ORANGE: sensuality, physical pleasure, emotional self-expression, creativity, lacking reason, lacking self-discipline, health, vitality

YELLOW: mental alertness, analytical thought, happiness, optimism, child-like, ego driven, thinking at expense of feeling

GREEN: healing, peace, nurturing, new growth, fear, need for security, jealousy and envy, balance

BLUE: verbal communication, freethinking, relating to structure and organization, emphasis on business, male energies, sadness, possibilities

PURPLE: wisdom, authoritative, female energies, matriarchal, sense of superiority, controlling, imagination, intuition

BROWN: grounding, down to earth, practical, male energies, invalidating, emphasizing body and denying spirit, feeling worth-less

BLACK: issues relating to death, hatred, lack of forgiveness, unresolved karma, dark intentions, shadow games, needing compassion for self

PINK: self-love, tenderness, female energies, gay energies, emphasis on physical appearances, being 'nice' at expense of being 'real'

WHITE (CLOUDY): New Age or religious energy, lacking consciousness, a cover-up, denial, being 'good' at expense of being 'whole'

WHITE (CLEAR LIGHT): very high spiritual vibration, godly, divine, inspiration, seeing spiritual big picture, compassionate

GOLD: high spiritual vibration, integrity, respect, freedom, clearseeing, integrating spirit and body, creating as spirit

Falling for Pink

I never can get enough pink in my life, seeing pink rouge makes my heart melt and sweet pink sunsets are to die for. I thought I'd share some pink favs, my studio and pink in the shop.

Nebula of Life

I love the tone of this collage portrait by Sara Hogren, the inked webbing of hair is like a growing nebula tangled with fear and things made of nightmares. There is a hint of whimsy and connection between the children, as if their childhood is deteriorating. As we age our purity becomes diluted as we become sucked into society like machines.

The Lighter Side of Things

When designing new pieces I often love to get carried away with drama and bold statement pieces, however I do love to keep in mind customers who are looking for lightweight earrings. I hear that request most often at craftshows, so I thought I'd pin point some earrings that are light on the lobes.

New Arrivals coming this evening!

Paper Cuts

I remember when I was little, it was the first time I had been to Disney World, as one of the souvenirs my brother and I both got Victorian inspired silhouettes hand-cut with precise edges, they hung in tiny frames on the walls of my childhood home for years.

This timeless art form is very much still alive! A recent discovery is artist Olly Moss, who worked many months for her exhibition "Cut Out Show" at Gallery 1988, where the walls exploded with paper-cut silhouettes of pop-culture icons. I'd especially love to collage my walls with many of these, as an nod to my childhood, teen years and love for movies.

See if you can figure out these and most on her blog!
