I HEART: Swamp Blood

In celebration of the True Blood revival I've been coveting new finds just for the occasion. Hope you enjoy the fresh blood.

~ SEVEN MAY No.01 from Iris Schwarz, I am reminded of a woman stalked into the forrest and fog or a woman of the supernatural kind. A simple yet haunting piece of art.

~ BLACK TALON RING by Leviticus, a stunning couture spike made of gunmetal is beautifully striking.

~ SIMPLE MODERN 14K GOLD EARRINGS from Forever Haunted: simple long hand hammered earrings remind me of fangs that bite in the night.

~ BLACK LEATHER MASK OF WOLF by Teonova: much like the lycans in the new season of True Blood, you too can walk the night against the moon in this thrilling wolf…dog…fox half face mask.

~ VINTAGE FIELD SAMPLE GATHERING KIT from Ethan Ollie, such vials make perfect for sweet v.

~ AGAIN I GIVE IT NO UNCTION 8X10 PRINT from Labyrinthine Nature: a surreal haunting piece of art that will make your spine shiver.

~ WOODPUNK AVANTE GARDE GOLD STUDDED LEATHER ANKLE BOOTS: badass ankle boots combine renaissance flats with comfortable 80s flare, by Two String Jane.

Skeleton Krew no.0034 Soulless Simon Painting

Soulless Simon, a ghoulish specimen of tragic story of the young at heart! He skips the streets in hope of filling up his sack with all the treats a little ghoul could eat, but don't let the innocence fool you. Reaping from the eyes is endless black, a soulless boy, for his inner demon is ready to dance in mischief!

The original gouache painting is stamped, numbered and signed on the back. The front of the card is a beige color and features scripted typography at the bottom reading Eight and Market in Philadelphia.

Mixing modern memento mori themes with darkened nightmares, this portrait is ready to spook a friend and perfect for any personal painting collection.

War Ensembles

War alters our lives, from our family to our history being made from world order, bullet shells and funerals. I have a new obsession, a fascination with 20th wars, it first started with war films about Vietnam, I've moved onto documentaries expanding my knowledge about the Battle of Mogadishu, WWII and the Ho Chi Minh trail amongst others. I am drawn to the art of war, the technical fighting machines of battle, the harrowing journeys, vivid portraits of a solider and how war dramatically altered their lives. Personally stories of brothers who made the sacrifices. Sometimes these events so massive, catastrophic and complex; my heart cannot comprehend what was gained for who we lost.

A story comes with each footstep, and an object carries forth a piece of history. This is the one of the objectives within my own art, a story to tell and a sensation of mystery. Much like trench art during both World Wars and even the Civil War, metal casings from bullets and mortar shells became pieces of art, many were sent home to loved ones in honor of their support. In the same sense, I have been creating my own war ensembles, military inspired jewelry that reap my fascination to such personal stories of war and their history.

~ Leadership Militant Unisex WWII Whistle Necklace: created from USA made WWII whistle and brass nautical star.

~ The Golden Army Knife Necklace: made with vintage engraved pocket knife with Coldstream military cap emblem on gold chain.

~ United We Stand Eagle Unisex Necklace: made from vintage American bald eagle pendant on thick gold chain. (To be worn with pride.)

The Illustration of Wesley Allsbrook

I recently stumbled upon the amazing work of Wesley Allsbrook. Her comic book illustration's spin and melt, creating evocative stories with brilliant pulsating colors in acid-like washes. An intense setting of emotion!

Relic of the White Rabbit Locket
An all time obsession of mine since a child have been rabbits, just something about them are so innocent and pure. In my lifetime I've had about five as pets, at one time three living in my Queens apartment. Something about their mannerisms and their fluffy hair seems to remind me of childhood dreams and long walks in forrest. I recently created a necklace in honor of my obsession, featuring pressed white hair inside a clear glass locket. An ode to the white rabbit, who Renaissance painters used as the symbol of chastity and purity, however in many Native American story traditions, trickster tales featured the rabbit amongst the clever Coyote or Raven.

The Skeleton Krew is Back

Hello my dark darlings, it is a new dawn and slowly but surely new arrivals are popping up in my shop. I have been painting as well, some finished and some in the works.

Meet Eli, a new member to the Skeleton Krew family. She is an original painting on a Victorian mourning brooch, perfect for any blackened lapel. She is hand painted in gouache featuring lace over her pale skin and a headdress of horns with surrounding bat wings.

More coming soon: 1) a tintype of darkened Elizabeth, 2) a miniature tintype of an assassin from the future, 3) smaller locket recently sold, 4) coming soon is Jack, he is one of my first portraits from several years ago, he was recently revamped!
