Zemo Presents "31"

The season of Zemoween is off to a great start, we're gearing up for our big Halloween party where Bruce's band Black Hand is playing there first show in the backyard. The full-on October movie marathon is in full effect as well, we are 14 for 14 movies so far for the month. The other night while stuck the studio I was in search for a good horror movie on tv and nothing I tell you, nothing, so next best thing when in stuck in front of the computer, Netflix. Searching for a while through endless cheesy goodness I came upon Session 9 (2001), a new fav film of mine, the movie follows a working crew who is renovating an old abandoned mental hospital that eventually haunts them, I won't say much more and ruin it for, def worth seeing.

My favorite month is half over, :( Out of all the movies so far this month, the one I can't stop thinking about is The Dark Old House (1932) featuring Boris Karloff and the gorgeous Gloria Stuart. Check out this little vid below.

1) The Omen (1976)

2) Ghost of Frankenstein (1942)

3) Paranormal Activity (2009)

4) The Descent (2005)

Movie Night!

Thursday night is movie night at the Marvel household, Friday Bruce and I have off so we are planning to stay up late, eat ice cream and watch horror movies. Us being horror fans we thought we stick to some classic films along with some foreign suspense / horror films we've never seen.

Here are some movies that are on the list as well as movies I'm trying to get my hands on:

Let the Right One In (2008)

Cape Fear (1991) I've never seen this, can you believe it

les Diaboliques (1955)

Cabin Fever (2002) Not that great but disgusting, plus I got it for $5

The Bad Seed (1956)

Eyes Without a Face (1959)

Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970)

Audition (1999)

A Tale of Two Sisters  (2003)

The Others (2001) I've never seen this either

I would love to hear other movie suggestions, please leave a comment below!

31 Days of Zemo's Horror Fest

Halloween has officialy come to an end and so has the 31 Days of Zemo's Horror Fest. Lots of classic and originals, two of my favorites were The Phantom of the Opera and the remake of the Omen. Halloween went off well this year for the Marvel's. We had a Halloween costume party, and tomorrow Bruce and I are heading up to Salem, MA for our anniversary trip. I hope to find some creepy places including the Salem Inn, where we are staying, I hear it is haunted. I will come equipped with my camera and camcorder just in case. Here are a couple pics from our spooky fun Halloween night.

Me as a witch, original costume idea was Elvira, but my wig couldn't compete with Elvira's 80s hair.

Bruce was the Red Death from the original Phantom of the Opera. Costume was handmade, except the mask and hat.
