Arthropodal Insect Lab

Who ever though there was a connection between invertebrate creatures and mechanical watches? Well one day Mike Libby, the creator of Insect Lab found a dead intact beetle, after locating an old wristwatch  and thinking how the beetle operated  and looked similar to this mechanical device, he then decided to combine the two together into a cybernetic sculpture. He uses everything from beetles to butterflies to scorpions. Each piece is unique and adorned with a shadow box or antique bell jar.
