Sweet Touches For Your Home!

A home is not a home with out a little love and splendid touches that make it personal. Being excited about my first house my favorite thing in the world is figuring out the layout of the rooms and picking out paint color. Recently I've been on the look out for curious accents to sweeten it! Check out these unique finds ready to add character to any room:

~ A charming way to dress up any window, these Door Knob Curtain Tie-Backs from Urban Outfitters, remind me of the Winchester Mystery House, a curious door knob that leads to no where!

~ A touch of eerie and a pleasant reminder of Willy Wonka, this Weathered Hand Hook from Urban Outfitters is perfect to hang anything from necklaces to scarves. 

~ Letter N Custom Moss Door Hanging Initial: a pleasant whimsical accent to welcome people into your home, perfect for a nursery or green house. I really want to get the letter M for my soon to be new home.

~ Knock knock, who's there? These whimsical iron door knockers from Anthropolgie and Urban Outfitters! A Sly Fox Doorknocker perhaps or an Owl In the Moonlight Knocker, I'd love a custom werewolf but these are just as unique.

~ A touch of steampunk and romance, this Magnifying Sconce is made of iron and can illuminate a room while adding some character, complete with a magnifying disc of smooth glass.

Relic of the White Rabbit

Ever since I was a child, I've always admired the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, such clumsy fellow behaving like a true gentleman. My love for the animal started when I was about eight years old, when I picked out my first pet bunny named Peter, very original name I must say. When I lived in my apartment in Queens, I couldn't pass up two sibling bunnies I found at the local pet shop, and after about 6 months my collection grew. At one point I had three running around eating my wires and shitting, my roommates weren't thrilled of course. I eventually gave them away to a good home and later bought a baby white floppy eared rabbit, I named Thumperette. She currently lives up at my pop's house in PA, she is so fat and cute, I love it!

Inspired by my childhood stories and favorite tales, I've created a curiosity to adorn your neck, a small token of steampunk, fairy tales and the white rabbit himself. The Relic of the White Rabbit Necklace is an ode to my love for these creatures, and features spun white rabbit hair inside of a vintage glass perfume vial. Lace and pearls top off this lovely relic and it is adorned with an aged clock hand, to be reminded of the ticking hand of death's arrival.

The Tin Man's Heart part ii

Last month I had worked on a very special custom necklace called The Tin Man's Heart. Some of you might remember I had originally created this necklace from last year. Interestingly enough I got an email from a gentleman who wanted to have a special custom piece to give to his wife for their 10th anniversary, he explained that the Wizard of Oz is her all time favorite film and he was even thinking of dressing up like the Tin Man, and guess what? He did, this morning I received a lovely email from Mike and he shared a photo of himself dressed up holding the necklace. He created the outfit from old clothes and duct tape.

I am just in awe of how thoughtful of an idea this is, so sweet. Mike told me that they went to Vegas and she wore the necklace around town and received many compliments, which I love to hear. I just love custom pieces and I was really honored to be a part of their anniversary and the gift they shared.
