PINK Please!!!

Spring is here and just like changing hair color for the seasons, pink has sneaked up on me. I go through phases in my creations, it is either the little dark things hiding in the shadows or the sweet sass of being a girlie girl. I can't get enough of pink in my life, my new studio is painted a pale pink and now pink is introducing itself in shop just in time for spring. My new inspirations are pink icing, pink lips, pink lace, pink heels, pink lingerie and pink bubblegum.

~ 1) Pen Pal Companion Writing Necklace: I fell in love with this pen and pencil set when I saw it at the local antique store, so cute and young. You can wear this necklace around the office or a great doodling tool for the park or cemeteries.

~ 2) Strawberry Acorn Earrings: lovely spring acorns or voluptuous boobies, they make me smile.

~ 3) Bubble-gum Swirl Earrings: these light weight earrings even caught the eye of my momma. I love the soft color of these hand blown beads and the teeny tiny white flowers and rhinestone.

~ 4) Woven Sweetness Necklace: a welcoming of spring and uniqueness of hand woven beads matched with a bundle of brass chains and vintage chandelier crystal.

I HEART: A Flutter of Pink

I am feeling kinda cute today and really love the color pink; I imagine it best from my grandmother's powder puff box, so yummy. I was actually day dreaming here at work today, about what color I will paint my new studio space when we find a house. I'm thinking a soft pale pink, with accents of light browns from antique photos and religious statues of the Virgin Mary, oh it will be brilliant. For some inspiration here are some pieces I am currently hearting and a pair of earrings right from Red Heart 13. enjoy!

~ I am truly drawn to the work from The Paper Apartment, soft delicate lines bleeding with woodland love. I especially love this print called Aflutter, the feathers remind me of fairy tales and flowing tears.

~ An adorable Candy Pink TShirt from Janey Clothing, I am truly hearting this shop and the way the clothing is photographed. You can find a whole array of lovely pieces from this shop all the way from beautiful Ireland.

~ I stumbled upon Muntedlowhai's shop about a month ago, I appreciate the simplicity in all the designs featured. I'm really think this Pink Candy Air Crocheted Lace Necklace is chic mixed with feminine charm; it is as a cute as a button!

~ These Strawberry Kiss Earrings are just the thing to add sweetness to your day, they just arrived this week at RH13 and are ready to kiss your lobes.

Inspired by Cherry Blossoms

As artists, we look towards nature, lost memories or find one piece that can inspire new works of art. This past weekend, I was inspired by this beautiful 8x10 photograph of Cherry Blossoms called Cherry Cream photographed by Lauriann Wakefield. Her shop is brilliant and I could envision many of her brightly whimsy photos, all clustered together to make a wall of delight. From her photo, blessed with pale blushes and soft petals, I created two pieces that have a soft feminine touch.

~ NEW ARRIVAL: A sweet necklace with a bold sweet blush pink in a gold filigree with a touch of pearl, this Cherry Blossom Allure necklace reminds me of the ornate lines of Mucha, matched with soft Cherry Blossom petals.

~ NEW ARRIVAL: A sweet kiss of strawberry swirls matched with modern romance from silhouettes of roses, these Strawberry Kiss earrings are made with blown glass beads, vintage floral bead caps and sterling silver rose connectors on sterling silver lever backs.

NEW ARRIVALS: Fresh Picked Just For You

Here are four new arrivals that were hand picked just for you! On the outside I may dress in all black and love horror movies, but on the inside I'm all gushy and girly; I always fall for pink and anything with adorable flowers, so with silly giggles and being pretty in pink I present four new arrivals from Red Heart 13.

~ 1) My beloved grandmother Sarah Elizabeth taught me that in order for the most fullest roses to bloom you must give them Eternal Affection. This rose leaf pendant is matched with white pearls and a tiny sparrow in flight; a truly elegant ensemble.

~ 2) Fabric Majestic Crocus: delightful lavenders matched with the vintage appeal of brass filigree makes a perfect combination for true romance.

~ 3) Hooray hoorah, sis boom bah! These Blush Pompon drops make me smile, made with vintage baby pink and gold beads that are matched with a delicate floral rhondelle. Wouldn't these be perfect with a sexy heels and pencil skirt?

~ 4) I absolutely fell in love with this unbelievable enamel flower pendant shaped in a heart. I traded this beauty for one of my Skeleton Krew™ paintings a while back and call it For You My Love; def a lovely gift for a friend or a true sign of appreciation for Mother's Day.

From the Heart: a first look at new arrivals

Here is a first hand look at our latest reliquary from the Red Heart Cult. My Secret Lovers Reliquary necklace is gorgeous revamped necklace that has a heart breaking love story (in) itself. A twisted love triangle between a plain jane and two brothers. A secret love affair with the handsome millionaire and the other brother, a loyal soul mate who is off to war. Who will she choose? Riches or a dedicated man who pours his heart into a single love letter that comes once a month; but will he return to her?

This relic necklace is one of a kind and is a revamped from timeless artifacts. A vintage black enameled pendant opens to reveal an assemblage of love's past. An antique oval cabinet card of two brothers and on the bottom a piece of a vintage letter that reads "Oh Dearest", a miniature key with blue rhinestone and a piece of baby's breath. On the brass chain holds a strand of five antique chandelier crystals, smaller glass beads, two links of leaf chain and a beautiful pink pendant detailing in gold.

Stop by
Red Heart 13 to check out some of our other new arrivals:

~ These Bubbly Rose Darlings are a perfect romantic statement, made with white/light pink pearls and a brass rose bead cap.
